Free Indonesian APIs: A Public API List for Developers, Grouped by Category
A collection of Indonesian public APIs developers can use at no upfront cost: regions, weather, public holidays, postal codes, exchange rates, and more. One API key for everything.

Finding free Indonesian APIs that you can actually run in production is not as easy as it looks. Most public API lists on the internet point to government documentation that needs manual scraping, or to global APIs whose data is not relevant for Indonesian users.
This article rounds up the categories of Indonesian public APIs you can use directly through API Indonesia. All of them are accessed with one API key, new accounts get a one-time 3,000 credit bonus, and the responses are consistent JSON. Good for an MVP, a hackathon, or a product that is already running.
Why One API Key for Everything?
The pattern that usually happens: one project needs region data for an address form, prayer times for a reminder feature, and exchange rates for pricing. If each data set uses a different provider, you are managing three dashboards, three billing accounts, and three different error schemas. With one platform, authentication is uniform (the x-api-key header), monitoring sits in one place, and upgrading your plan is a single step.

FAQ
Is it really free? There is no monthly free allowance, but every new account gets a one-time 3,000 credit bonus (Rp3,000) after email verification, with no credit card. A successful data request costs 2 credits, so that covers about 1,500 requests. If traffic grows, there are paid plans sized to your needs.
Is the government data official? The data comes from relevant public sources (BMKG for weather and earthquakes, Kemenag for prayer times, SKB 3 Menteri for public holidays, and so on). Some endpoints require attribution, check meta.attribution in the response.
Can I use it commercially? Yes, as long as you follow the attribution terms for each product.
